  Accenture has helped Metro de Madrid develop and implement a self-learning AI-based ventilation system that mini­mizes energy costs and emissions and ensures high air quali­ty in metro stations and commuters’ comfort. The artificial intelligence (AI)-based system has enabled Metro de Madrid to reduce its energy costs for ventilation by 25 percent and cut CO2 emissions by 1,800 tons annually.

  Etteplan and Škoda Transtech have agreed on cooperation concerning the production of technical product documentation of the city of Tampere’s ForCity Smart Artic trams and the Artic trams of the Jokeri Light Rail (Raide-Jokeri) line, which will be built in the Helsinki capital region, Finland. Technical product documentation refers to technical and functional descriptions, spare parts documentation, and maintenance instructions and manuals for products such as trams.

The F900 FDM/FFF printer will be used for the production of tooling, prototyping, and end-use parts for trains and trams. The parts will be included in Bombardier’s manufacturing operations for DACH countries including Germany, Austria, Switzerland.

  A modern railway R&D center was launched in the northern Italian industrial city of Turin by CRRC Tangshan. As the world’s largest supplier of rail transit equipment, CRRC has already set up R&D centers in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Sweden, South Africa and Turkey.
