  L&T – Water & Effluent Treatment business is currently growing at 28% yoy and wants to double to $4 billion in next few years. Main opportunities are in desalination plants, water and sewage treatment plants, water supply pipelines, etc. If we treat water exploration, treatment and transport similar to oil, there is scope for technology and digital solutions also (of course with the caveat of economic viability). Ground water is depleting fast and water infrastructure is a $100 Billion opportunity in India for next five years.
